The premise of Badfish Creek Clothing Co came when we could not find a men’s shirt in historic downtown Stoughton. It had been four years since a men’s store existed in Stoughton. There was a void that we felt needed to be filled. Gretel and Preston Irving decided that instead of complaining about the issue they would do something about it. We found a store front that fit their vision and work began. With research and talking to area residence we got the sense what people were looking for. We contacted several clothing lines and found that this was not as hard as we thought it was going to be.

The name Badfish Creek Clothing Co came about from a local creek that we had to pass over every day as we headed to work in Madison. We thought that it would have a strong attraction to many of the people in the community. We look at other names too but found them to often used in other commercial titles and did not want to be confused to who we were.
